In Honor of the #SpeakYourMIND Ice Bucket Challenge
Started with one video from the MIND Club at the University of South Carolina, we've seen tens of thousands across the world take the challenge to show their support for mental health. Thank you for championing a new era of mental health by supporting Active Minds!

Active Minds is the largest nonprofit in the United States mobilizing youth and young adults to transform mental health norms across society. Together, we can equip youth and young adults with the resources, training, and skills they need to advocate for lasting mental health change.

A.S.K. — Acknowledge, Support, Keep-in-Touch
The new “stop, drop, and roll” of supporting a friend. Not knowing how to have a conversation with someone going through a hard time may keep the conversation from happening at all. Share this interactive experience with a young adult in your life to help them navigate through the best way to help a friend.
Active Minds' Vision: A society that forever values and prioritizes mental health
Over the last 20 years, Active Minds has centered its work around data that shows youth are the most impactful catalysts for change among their peers and communities. To reverse negative trends in youth mental health outcomes, societal norms around mental health must radically improve. It is critical to engage youth & young adults as a key part of the solution. They know best what they need; it is time to position them to voice their needs, inform the solutions, and give them tools and paths for change.
But we cannot stop. The mental health crisis experienced by youth and young adults has become perhaps the most pressing public health issue of our time – and we need to start treating it like so.
